NEON, International Night-Time Economy Forum
Client: Office of the NSW 24-Hour Commissioner
Location: Sydney, Australia
Date: May 2023 and October 2024
Curated the international program for the first and second edition of NEON, the International Night-Time Economy Forum in Sydney Australia. This 2-day event gathered 200+ experts, academics and representatives from the city’s growing night-time economy and to speak about the latest trends, challenges and developments in topics including women’s safety, diversifying night-time entertainment options, and updating local regulations.
The first edition (2023) gathered the first ‘night mayors’ (or their local equivalent) from 6 cities: Thierry Charlois (Paris), Amy Lamé (London), Mathieu Grondin (Montreal), Martina Brunner (Vienna) and Ariel Palitz (New York). Learn more about the conference program here.
The second edition (2024) featured five international speakers from regional networks involved in shaping night-time planning: Tak Umezawa (Japan Nighttime Economy Association—JNEA), Natalie Mets (Tallinn, Estonia), Michael Kill (Night-Time Industries Association—NTIA), Simone d’Antonio (URBACT’s Cities After Dark) and Alicia Scholer (Responsible Hospitality Institute—RHI). 24-Hour Cities Network
Client: City Possible (Mastercard)

Date: April - December 2022
Supported the creation of the 24-Hour Cities Network by acting as expert in residence responsible for curating and hosting four online workshops on night-time governance and planning. Each of the workshops gathered more than 50 participants, including secretaries of economic development and night mayors of 15+ countries.

Naranja Republik
Client: IDB Lab/ Museo para la Identidad Nacional de Honduras
Location: Tegucigalpa, Honduras (remote due to COVID19)
Dates: February - November 2020
Conducted a participatory study to develop a strategy and pilot intervention to revitalize the Historic Center of Tegucigalpa in the context of Naranja Republik (NRNJ RPBLK), a project to transform this area into a creative hub.
Client: Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
Location: Valparaíso, Chile
Dates: May - September 2019
Conducted a qualitative and spatio-temporal analysis of Valparaíso, Chile to characterize the city’s night-time activity and propose a set of actions to revitalize its World Heritage Site.

Nocturnal Cities Conference

Responsible for co-curating Nocturnal Cities, the first Latin American Conference on Managing the Urban Night that gathered more than 20 experts in night-time governance and planning in Bogota, Colombia on November 22, 2018.
